Islander ROTC 5K and Push-Up Challenge

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islander Army ROTC will hold the Islander ROTC 5K on Saturday, Feb. 18, in the Hammerhead parking lot located on campus. The run is open to the public and coincides with Homecoming Week. The race features chip timing and a USATF certified course that is wheelchair accessible. The course is primarily on the hike-and-bike trail. A map, details, and registration are posted here: http://rotc5k.tamucc.edu/. Proceeds from the event benefit the Islander Army ROTC Cadet Club, which allows cadets extra training and opportunities such as participating in the Bataan Memorial Death March. After the 5K, take on an extra challenge in a push-up challenge graded by Army drill sergeants.

• 6:15 am: Event day packet pickup & registration
• 7 am: Wheelchair 5K start
• 7:15 am: General 5K start
• 8 am: Push-up challenge
